Mum guilt….

Being a parent is a full time job, which comes with a long to-do list. Mum guilt is the feeling that we are not doing enough as a parent.

Today, I was exhausted. So we had a day inside with lots of Disney films & toys. Although I needed this to ensure I rest,reset & stay healthy, as with many parents, this choice made me feel like I was not doing enough as a mum.

Persistent feelings of guilt can have a serious impact, so it’s important to take steps to alleviate these feelings…

- take a break from social media
- acknowledge you are 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭
- ask for support.
- take a breath & challenge those negative thoughts.
- show some self-compassion.
