My grief counsellor (because counsellors need counsellors too π) recently suggested creative self-care to me. So tonight I’m giving it a go seeing if I can finish (& enjoy) this dinosaur for my sons room π¦
Being creative can give us a feeling of accomplishment, increase our confidence & give us self-appreciation. It is also proven to;
• increase positive emotions π
• reduce stress π
• decrease anxiety π
• boost cognitive function π§
Practicing self-care can come in many forms. Normally, I am bubble baths, face masks & a brew… but sometimes we need to try something different & this might just pamper our mental health & overall wellness ππ§π¨βοΈ
