Managing burnout

Published on 25 October 2023 at 08:31

This week I went back to work, both at the charity I work for and within my private practice, after some much needed time off with my little family.

The lines between home and work life can easily become blurred, especially in this fast paced, expensive world that we live in. This stress can lead to burnout.....

Burnout is a state of emotional and physical exhaustion. It can leave us feeling;

  • Tired and drained
  • helpless and trapped
  • detached and alone
  • negative
  • overwhelmed

When we are burnt out, or on our way to burn out, there are many things we can do to look after ourselves;

  • Practice self-care
  • Make time for activities we enjoy
  • Pace ourselves
  • Talk to our loved ones
  • Talk to a professional

This is to just name a few. What other suggestions are there to help with burnout?
